Crazy For You/Madonna

AOL Chat 1-14-96

OnlineHost: Shawn Michaels has just entered the auditorium...Welcome Shawn!!!

WWFLive1: Shawn: Hello boys and girls, HBK is back. I would like to thank everyone for their support over the last 4 months. On with the questions...

Question: Are you against Bret Hart just like your best friend Diesel?

WWFLive1: Shawn: No, the problems between Bret and Diesel are their own. I simply have the same goal in my mind that I have always had and it just so happens that now Bret Hart is getting my attention.

Question: Why would you risk your life to win a simple strap of gold?

WWFLive1: Shawn: I don't think that I am risking my life, there is always a certain amount of risk involved in just about everything. I simply want to finish what I started.

Question: Shawn, have you done any amateur wrestling in high school? and due to the heavy gimmicks involved in your profession, were you really attacked in Syracuse or is Vince using you as a marketing tool? thanks

WWFLive1: Shawn: Yes, I wrestled as an amateur for a year while I was in HS and although I am positive that I am a marketing tool, the incident in Syracuse was real, you have my word.

Question: What does your family think of your return to the ring?

WWFLive1: Shawn: My family is of course concerned. But they have always been concerned about my health and well-being but they know what makes me happy and my happiness is what is most important to them.

Question: What wrestlers do you hang out with outside the ring?

WWFLive1: Shawn: I hang with Diesel and Razor and the rest of the kliq.

Question: SHAWN WHY ARE YOU ALWAYS TAKING YOUR PANTS DOWN? MY SISTERS ENJOY IT BUT I THINK ITS PRETTY GROSS.

WWFLive1: Shawn: Then look away because I just can't help it. I need to disrobe myself on Nat'l tv. Don't knock it until you've tried it!!!

Question: How would you feel about the Warrior's return?

WWFLive1: Shawn: I would be pleased to have the Ultimate Warrior back in the WWF. I think he has unlimited potential.

Question: Shawn, while you were recuperating, were you able to work out, keep in shape? Have you been sparring in the ring at all?

WWFLive1: Shawn: Right after the incident my workout suffered greatly for about 2 mos. In the last month, I have been feeling more myself and have been training as I was before the incident took place but I have not had any ring time.

Question: What is your personal opinion of the WCW?

WWFLive1: Shawn: It is fine with me. I don't care to work there but as long as there is a place for all the guys in our business I think that is what is most important.

Question: Shawn do you think that Jake Roberts was the man who planned your attack?

WWFLive1: Shawn: No I don't believe so. The best I can tell it was just a random act having nothing to do with anyone in our business.

Question: Shawn, what do you think of the wrestling skills of Vader and Steve Austin ?

WWFLive1: Shawn: I think Vader without a doubt is the most talented huge man in our business. Steve Austin I think is an extremely talented worker and I look forward to working with both of them in the future.

Question: Shawn, when you win the Rumble, are you going to have anyone escort you to the ring at Wrestlemania? If you haven't chosen anyone yet, I volunteer!!!! Shannon.

WWFLive1: Shawn: No I don't have anyone to escort me to the ring. It did not bring me much luck last year so I am going to have to give it alot of thought this year. But you are more than happy to escort me to my victory party.

Question: Shawn do you think you might team again with Marty maybe to make a Rockers reunion?

WWFLive1: Shawn: I would do it once if that is what the fans wanted to see. But it is not something I will do again on a regular basis. It has nothing to do with personal feelings, but more professional feelings.

Question: Shawn, would you ever involve yourself with Sunny? And also, you rule!!!!

WWFLive1: Shawn: Not on the scenes, but I might involve myself with her, behind the scenes.

Question: Since you've been gone...a lot has changed with your buddy Diesel. What do you think of the changes in attitude of Big Daddy Cool?

WWFLive1: Shawn: As far as I am concerned, the Diesel that is in the WWF now is the same guy that I brought into the WWF just a couple of years ago. And if he is happy with what he is doing, then so am I.

Question: Shawn, what if you and Diesel are the last two in the ring at the Rumble????

WWFLive1: Shawn: Then Diesel is going to get thrown out!

Question: What is your relationship and/or feeling towards Vince McMahon?

WWFLive1: Shawn: My relationship with Vince McMahon is friend and employer/employee soon to be business partners, so to speak.

Question: Hello Shawn...did wcw ever get in touch with you to bring you there?

WWFLive1: Shawn: Yes they have.

Question: Shawn...I've been following you since you were a little Rocker...how have you dealt with the change in tag team style and individual wrestling?

WWFLive1: Shawn: I think that the Rockers had a big influence on tag team wrestling as it is today. And I hope that I have had some influence on how single wrestling is going today. So I am pleased with the evolvement of both.

Question: Shawn, I know your focus is on becoming the WWF champion...do you have any long-term goals after that? I personally thought you were awesome commentating...any chance that you might return to that position?

WWFLive1: Shawn: One day I hope to return to the microphone. All other long-term plans involve my personal life.

Question: What the toughest part of this whole ordeal for you?

WWFLive1: Shawn: For the first time, I had no control over my body and my head (or brain) although a number of people seem to think they know everything about our business, I would have liked to convince everyone that everything was a complete work. I swear that I have never been through an ordeal like the one I have just been through.

Question: What wrestlers did you admire growing up?

WWFLive1: Shawn: Growing up in Texas, I grew up with Tully Blanchard and Wahoo McDaniels, and with the birth of cable I was a big fan of Ric Flair and believe it or not, Bob Backlund.

Question: Who do you consider to be the biggest threat to you in 1996?

WWFLive1: Shawn: Everybody else.

Question: Shawn-is it true that the night of your attack Davey Smith saved your life?

WWFLive1: Shawn: No, not Davey Boy Smith nor the 1-2-3 Kid who were both present. They didn't do anything to help me, they simply stumbled in to the situation as it was finishing. And at no time did I expect anyone to help me.

Question: What are your favorite television shows?

WWFLive1: Shawn: I rarely have time to watch tv anymore, but I would have to say that the Thursday night line-up on NBC is my favorite.

Question: You've had several matches against former I-C champ Jeff Jarrett. Will we be able to see more matches between the two of you now that he's back?

WWFLive1: Shawn: Most likely.

Question: What is your favorite fantasy?,,,,,,,,,, mine involves a buffed guy ,me , some vanilla ice cream, and a hot southern night..............Angelkiss5

WWFLive1: Shawn: I have been lucky enough to have been in a line of work for the last 10 years that has allowed me to fulfill every fantasy that I have had. And as they keep coming, I keep living them out.

Question: What do you think of the Wrasslin' Warroom skits done by Vince? Do you think that he should just concentrate on the WWF or do you think that he should continue the retaliation on the WCW's cracks?

WWFLive1: Shawn: I think that he is concentrating on the WWF and I think that the people should understand that even the WWF likes to have fun.

Question: SHAWN WHY DID YOU CHANGE YOUR MIND ABOUT PRESSING CHARGES ON THE "MEN" THAT ATTACKED YOU?

WWFLive1: Shawn: I did not change my mind, there were a number of stories around this entire incident, none of which have been accurate. From the very beginning I had planned to press charges, I just wanted to wait until I was thinking straight to talk to the authorities.

Question: Who do you think will win Bret Hart and Undertaker match?

WWFLive1: Shawn: I am not really sure. I think it is an intriguing match-up that leaves numerous possibilities.

Question: Do you ever consider going to the WCW after you achieve what you want to in the WWF?

WWFLive1: Shawn: There is an old saying in this business that you never say never, but I have been fortunate enough to do very well in the WWF. I feel that I will take another 5 years of active competition in the WWF and then officially leave the ring and get back behind the microphone.

Question: Is the kliq really running the WWF?

WWFLive1: Shawn: I don't believe the kliq is running anything except their own careers. Most people sit around and wait for things to happen. The kliq simply wants to make things happen.

Question: Hey Shawn, thanks so much for talking with us tonight! I'm glad you're back in action! I was just wondering if there were any possibilities of you and Bret Hart ever going for a Tag Team title together. Thanks again for coming! (MyGambit)

WWFLive1: Shawn: I guess that would be up to the Hitman. Depending on how things go over the next couple of months, I am not really sure that the Hitman will want anything to do with me. But I of course would be interested in doing anything with Bret concerning the WWF. Especially if I had fulfilled my goals.

Question: Hey Shawn, Has Goldust ever come on to you?

WWFLive1: Shawn: Everybody in this business has come on to me at one time or another. Man, woman or child.

Question: What do you think about Ahmed Johnson, can you still trust him as an ally?

WWFLive1: Shawn: I think that Ahmed Johnson is another superstar in the WWF who has tremendous potential. As far as trusting him, I trust him to the point of him being an ally, but there aren't many that I trust as a close friend.

Question: How are you feeling? Do you feel 100%? If not do you think that you would ever be back to 100%?

WWFLive1: Shawn: Compared to what I was before the incident, I feel that I am just about 100% mentally. I will only find out if I am 100% physically until I get back in the ring.

Question: Did you really inherit 2 million dollars?

WWFLive1: Shawn: I have not rec'd 2.5 million dollars from anyone. All the money that I have gotten, I have earned.

Question: Are you feeling any pain from the injuries?

WWFLive1: Shawn: Most of the pain was not the problem. It was my mental state of mind that was in question. I have never not been in control of my mechanical reactions so this injury was just something that I had never experienced before. It was just different, it was not painful.

Question: Who's your favorite wrestler (besides yourself)?

WWFLive1: Shawn: I would have to say Diesel, Razor and HHH, 1-2-3 Kid and that's it.

Question: Shawn, long time fan, welcome back to the WWF, glad to see you are feeling better, but are you concerned with your condition that you may be hurt even worse after winning the Rumble?? ---doc

WWFLive1: Shawn: Again, the risk of physical injury has always been there, especially when I am in the ring. My concern is not from the neck down, my concern is taking a severe blow to the head. And that is something that I think every wrestler has to be concerned about. But I have always tried not to think about physical injury because every time I do, I get hurt.

OnlineHost: Thanks for joining us tonight Shawn. Good luck in the Royal Rumble!

WWFLive1: Shawn: I hope everyone is satisfied with my answers, don't let anyone try to convince you that I have not been truthful because I rarely don't tell the truth. That is why I have so much heat. See ya...until next time. HBK and the kliq rules!!!!!
