Ail poses as Ginga Seijuurou, who, along with Ann, who poses as his sister Ginga Natsumi and attends Juuban Junior High School along with Usagi, Ami, and Makoto. Seijuurou falls in love with Usagi, while Natsumi falls in love with Mamoru. Neither one knows the true identities of Usagi and Mamoru.

Ail uses a flute to turn tarot cards into 'cardians' who obtain energy for their tree named Makaiju. This tree feeds them energy and is basically their life support. Ann has the honor of choosing each cardian.

Eventually, their tree speaks up after Usagi sees the truth, transfroms, and gets the Senshi to defeat the aliens. The tree says that it doesn't want them to use negative ways to obtain energy, and the aliens go back to their planet with the tree.
