I’m sure that just about everyone has heard of Terry Pratchett, even if they haven’t read one of his books. To all those who haven’t, I say you should. But don’t start with the first one. Before I became used to the way he writes and thinks I found the first one a little to much to take, but once I’d read a few the first one was really good. I’d start with Mort. It’s really funny and included the classic line, delivered by Death himself, "I could murder a curry."

The geography is really quiet simple, and much more fun than ours. It’s basically a disc shaped world, balancing on the shoulders of 4 great elephants, who are all standing on the back of A’Tuin (sex un-known), the star turtle who drifts though space to a destination that no one knows. When ships disappear over the horizon and look as though they’re falling off the edge of the world, it’s because they actually ARE falling of the edge of the world. Sorry Chris. You got it wrong this time. Scientists have worked out that the chances of something so completely absurd actually existing are a million to one, but wizards have worked out that million to one chances crop up nine times out of ten.

I could sit here all day telling you about the wonder that is DiscWorld, but a) I wouldn’t like to spoil it for you, and b) my fingers are a little tired from all the typing I’ve been doing today. I’ll put more stuff on her soon. Pictures from the covers of the books, pictures from the games based on the books, hints on the games, (I’ve completed both the PC ones [discworld II only took a weekend]) and info on the host of bizarre characters you come across when you’ve read as many of the things as I have. I feel like all I’m doing is saying sorry for not having pages finished. I’ll say sorry again, and that I’ve finish the friends fanfic ‘the one with all the confusion’ which is part two of ‘the one with the UFO’. I know it’s got nothing to do with DiscWorld, but I’m just trying to prove that I have actually been doing so work towards getting this website finished. Stay tuned.......
