Esbats
Esbats are Full Moon rituals occuring about 13 times a year.However,Esbats are not solely
for Full Moons.I have also included a Dark Moon ritual.
Moon Phases:
Waning = Night after the full moon up to and including the New Moon.
Magick: decreasing/negative.
Waxing = Night after New Moon up to and including the Full Moon.
Magick: increasing/positive.

Full Moon Ritual
Supplies: 2 white altar candles,chalice or bell.
Dress: White
ritual:
Cast circle.Face altar and pick up the bell or chalice.
Go to the East,tap the chalice or bell once and say:
All hail Idhunn.Be here with me this night
under the Full Moon's glory.
Go to the South and repeat calling Frigg to be with you.
Then the West and Nehellania.
Then the North and Skadi.
Return to the altar.
Facing it raise your arms in salute and say:
Hail Goddess,Lady of the Moon.Be here with me and fill me
with your presence.Guide me with your wisdom.Blessed Lady,Lunar
Goddess,Ancient One.Of women and mysteries.Your Moon at the waxing
of its powers is welcome here in Your honor.
Now it's time for your spellwork,meditation or divination.
When you're through,thank the Goddess and release the circle.
Dark Moon Ritual
Waning Moon.
Supplies:2 black candles,cauldron,paper,pen or pencil.
Dress: Black
Incense:Sage or Allspice.
ritual:
Cast circle counter-clockwise.
Facing the East say:
Mother Goddess,Father God be here with me and
empower my mind this night.
Then to the North repeat using Body instead of "mind".
Then West using emotions.
Then South using spirit.
Return to altar facing North(or East,you're preference)
Raise your arms and say:
This is a night for releasing negativities.May
the Goddess look upon my work and bless me.
Then begin spellwork or divination.
Example Cauldron Spell.
Purpose:to be rid of negativity.
Place your cauldron on the altar.On the piece of paper 1st
write the things you wish to be rid of.Burn the paper in
the cauldron.
As it burns visualize everything you wrote down leaving your
life.You may even want to compose a chant while you work.
Thank the Goddess and God,then release the circle.
Tips:
Full Moons are especially good for meditations,initiations,and
spells to empower oneself.
The Moon is the symbol of the Goddess and energy.
