Mother and Child is a small, home-based business in Plymouth, Indiana, run exclusively by a single mom of two FABULOUS children. I decided to go into business to make mommy clothes affordable...
even to SAHM (cyber-lingo for a Stay-At-Home-Mom)from one-income families.

I breast fed my son for 17 1/2 months until he weaned himself. (I would have enjoyed nursing him longer.) During that time I didn't own any nursing clothes- so I know they aren't absolutely necessary.

But, now that I am, again, a happy breast feeding mom to my daughter and own nursing fashions that I made myself, I can't believe I didn't have some with my first child!! Public nursing is much less complicated when you can be discreet... and nursing clothes help you do just that.

My first sewing project was a SLING. I loved it!! I don't go anywhere with out it even now. I have an extra one to keep in my home and our favorite one stays in the car--ready to go anywhere! My daughter has loved it since her first week at home. She is now a toddler and still enjoying it. And since we've grown to love out slings so much I wanted to pass them on to you... so I call my slings SLING-BABY.
