Crewmembers, including those in administrative positions, shall be provided a crew rest period beginning 12 hours before reporting for a mission.
At en-route stations where the crew will remain overnight (RON), the minimum scheduled ground time shall not be less than 15 hours. However, the aircraft commander may elect to reduce crew rest to no less than 12 hours; contingent upon the crew having a minimum of 8 hours of uninterrupted rest, and only if the previous crew duty period has not been extended.
Immediately following transit for out of CONUS extended detachments, the minimum scheduled ground time shall not be less than 18 hours. The TAC may reduce ground time to no less than 16 hours, contingent upon the crew having a minimum of 12 hours of uninterrupted rest.
b. Crew duty
Crew Duty commences at show time (normally 2 hours prior to block-out) or the commencement of military duties, which ever is earlier, and terminates upon block-in on the final leg of the day.
c. Crew currency
TAC Requirements are satisfied when the crewmember completes flights totaling a minimum of 5 flight hours in a given month, in position.
Crew Chief:
Monthly currency may be satisfied by completing One flight evolution in position per month.
LM/2LM:
Monthly currency may be satisfied by completing three flight evolutions in position per fiscal quarter.
