The guy on the left is 1/Lt Barry Land, known affectionately as The Barrel". Barry was quite a character who was a gun-loving nut like me. He once got his hands on a Thompson SMG and was so anxious to fire it, that he took it down into a corner of his bunker and ripped off a clip on full automatic. Well, as it happened, some major from group was walking by and it scared the snot out of him. He dumped all over poor Barry and threatened all sorts of dire consequences if he didn't get rid of the Thompson ASAP. Unfortunately, I later heard that Barry developed cancer and passed away somewhere around the late 70s. Can anyone identify the geltleman on the right? Thx for your input Jerry
