Spike
Spike otherwise known as William the Bloody first came to town in
School Hard when he drove into the Welcome to Sunnydale sign.The
Annointed One argues with 2 vampires over who should take the place of
the Master when in walks Spike to the Factory where they have set up
camp.Spike brags about killing 2 Slayers in his lifetime.He then
brings Drusilla into the room,the 2 are obliviously a couple but she
isn't quite that sane.She is sick and Spike will do anything to help
her so he vows to prove his power that he will kill the Slayer.One
of the vampires and Spike go to the Bronze and call Buffy out into
combat where Spike looks on sizing her up.Later the Slayerettes talk
about the arrival of Spike and Angel says he knows the vampire-and
that Spike will not stop until he has finished what he planned.
When he and others attack the school on Parent-Teacher night he is
defeated and hit by an axe wielded by Joyce Summers.The Annointed
One is not pleased with Spike.So to solve the problem Spike killed
the Annointed One.He is later seen in "Halloween" and he has been
videotaping Buffy and her techniques.He tries to stop her once again
but is again forced to flee.In "Lie to me"he tries at the Slayer again
but backs off when Buffy threatens Drusilla's life.We also see he is
jealous over Dru's former involvement with Angel.In "What's my line"
he restores Dru's strength only to become wheelchair bound himself.
He becomes more quieter until the night he and Dru put the Judge
together and Angel loses his soul and comes to live with Spike and
Dru.Thus making Spike jealous and more jealous.At the end of "I
only have eyes for you"we see the outraged Spike stand up from his
chair.In "Becoming" Spike thinks Angel's idea to demolish the Earth
is wrong so he teams up with Buffy and vows he'll help stop Angel
and leave town forever if she lets Drusilla live.He does leave town
but he sees Angel about to kill Buffy but doesn't help going against
their bargain. Spike later returns in the third season because Drusilla dumps him for a demon and wants Willow to make him a love potion to bring her back. In the fourth season he has come back and has a new girlfriend the newly made vampire Harmony. He is trying to get a ring that will make him invincible, he is shocked with a taser type gun and taken to a lab to be held hostage and to be tested. He escaped the lab and has no powers because the lab placed a chip in him to render him harmless. He temporarily lived with Xander and is now searching for a crypt. He has been an on and off friend of Buffy and is now living in a crypt of his own. He has fallen in love with Buffy and has been helping her to win her love.
