Tara

Tara is a close friend of Willow's and has slowly become integrated into the gang after she helped Willow with some spells and castings. Little is known about her past or her family, except that her mother was a very powerful witch (due to Tara'a use of the phrase "my mother was," her mother is presumed dead), and Tara seemingly inherited her power. Tara is shy and nervous around new people and tends to stutter when talking with them, but this usually fades once she gets to know them. She has helped the gang many times when they've been fighting demons - most notably, she was the one who realised that Buffy was not Buffy when Faith took over Buffy's body; she also helped conjure the katra needed to switch the bodies back again. She has helped Willow to further her witchy power, consequently boosting both their confidences and skill, and she owns a cat called "Miss Kitty Fantastico" (even though cats aren't allowed in the dorms). Tara has a single-study dorm which is where she and Willow perfrom most of their spells. Tara and Willow are happily in love with each other. Tara almost had to leave when her family came to get her because they said she was a demon, which turned out to be their way of keeping all the women in their family in tabs.
