PROFILE

Mark Bradtke is without a doubt the best centre in the National Basketball League. Bradtke first started dominating the league in 1992 where in his last season with the Adelaide 36er's averaged 20.1ppg and 14.8rpg. He has also been in the top ten in blocked shots, rebounding and field goal percentage since 1992. He started his career in Adelaide but left to go to Melbourne in 1992. He was the missing peice in the Tigers championship puzzle as they stormed on to beat the Perth Wildcats 2-1 in the 1993 NBL finals series. Bradtke stared in that series having an average game 1, but dominating the Wildcats in Games 2 and three. Since then he has been respected and reguarded as the best centre in the NBL. He has had some memerable duels with Magic Centre JohnDorge including the 1992 NBL Finals, the 1993 NBL Finals and the 1997 NBL Finals. Dorge has won on two of the three occasions, but Bradtke had the last laugh as his Tigers beat the Magic in three games this past season. He has represented Australia in three olympic games and two World Championships. He has played a season in the NBA for the Philadelphia 76er's. He has done just about everything possible and now will be looking to win a few more championships for the talent laden Tigers who will be the favourites for the 1998 NBL Championship.
