Seinfeld is the famous "show about nothing". The show about nothing is really a show about everything. They use everyday-situations and make fun of them and you recognize your self being in those situations. That is what makes Seinfeld so special from other shows.
Seinfeld started July 1989 as a 30 min. pilot, then called "The Seinfeld Chronicles". The first episode was called "Good news, bad news". Elaine Marie Benes was not in it and Cosmo Kramer was scripted as Hoffman.
