Ask the Students – Winner

This month entries were down a little from last month, but there were some very high quality pieces sent in, and judging was as difficult as ever. I have decided to try and narrow down the winners to one or two students per month as opposed to trying to award as many students as possible as I did last month. The reason being that I was amazed and delighted at how seriously schools are treating this award. Most schools are even giving it out as part of their regular awards ceremony. Such that even though I want to use this as an opportunity to encourage as many students as possible, I also do not want to diminish the importance of the award by giving out to many of them.

On another note, I have been informed that I mistyped one of the student’s works last month. I want to apologize for this. Please contact me if you want me to correct any mistakes and print out another copy for your student. This being said, if space allows it I prefer to enter students work in their original hand writing.

Finally, this month’s winner is Hisae Sakamoto from Dobutsu Junior High School. It was not only fairly original, but also surprisingly poetic. Congratulations to Hisae, and NORE SORE!
