Getting rid of your Stuff

Shauna Johnson recently told us about a flea market in Hachinohe where you can unload your cool gaijin stuff on Japanese buyers. It is off of route 45 in Hachinohe in the Hashoku Center, which is normally a fish market. There is a 1000 yen fee for parking there and setting up a space to sell your stuff.

Especially popular are house decorating items, books, CDs and university sweatshirts.

She also recommended holding a house party for your teachers, where they can buy anything in your house that you might otherwise leave behind. She says that some teachers might even feel sorry for you if you can’t sell something, and just buy it because they like you!

Wanted

Send it to the DAME MOTO! (pictures, too!)

The AJET Yearbook will be distributed to anyone who wants it at the governor’s Farewell Reception on July 10, 1998.

To renew your AJET membership, please contact Vicki Hayden (your friendly AJET PR). She will also be available to sign people up at the Farewell Party at Noheji (July 4) and at the Welcome Party (Aug. 29). If you are RENEWING your membership, it costs 2000 yen until September, after that, it is the same price as for first-time members (3000 yen).

The September DAME MOTO is FREE!

It will be distributed at the Welcome Party in Noheji on August 29th, 1998. If you cannot attend the Welcome Party and want the September issue, please let us know (contact information on the back cover).

DAME MOTO Subscription

An annual subscription will cost 2000 yen. This price just covers the shipping (10 issues at 200 yen/copy). In a raging fit of madness, we decided to make it half price for AJET members because AJET helps us so much (phone lists, resources, y’know… stuff). So, that’s 1000 yen for AJET members and 2000 yen for everyone else.

"WHAT KIND OF PERSON ARE YOU?"

Scrawl out the answer right now and give it to ZNL! (Contact information on the back cover)

Did anyone find a white bra that does not belong to them?

Please contact ZNL and we will pass it along to the distraught loser… I mean- the person who lost it.

JOB OPENNING

We need an Advertising Coordinator. Y’know, someone who’ll get small business- or big ones, we’re not picky- to advertise in the DAME MOTO.

WELCOME TO AOMORI

If you’re reading this, and you just got here, then welcome! We can’t wait to meet you all!
