North Queensland Cowboys
Supporters Club of Sydney
Welcome to the North Queensland Cowboys Supporters
Club of Sydney. Formed in 1998 , the club is still
in a pretty evolutionary state. There are currently
32 members , and we hope to have built up our
numbers to 50 by the end of next season.
At this stage, all we are attempting to do is show
a unified presence at the Sydney matches. In the
future we hope to travel to other NSW matches, plus
hold some social events such as BBQs.

You can also catch up with us at any of the Sydney
Games (we should be pretty obvious......we're very
loud), or get in contact via Cowboys Management.
The Cowboys have just completed their best ever year.
9 wins from 24 games meant a 16th placed finish, but
only for & against separated us from 14th.
The Cowboys have been highly active in the player
market, and have signed a raft of players, which
among others include Geoff Bell, Paul Green, Jody
Gall, Brett Hetherington, Noel Goldthorpe, Darien
Doherty, Matthew Ryan and Alan Cann. A number of
players have left the side, most noteably captain
Ian Roberts, who has hung up the boots for good
(check out my tribute to Ian Roberts....the link
is below).
The changes in the playing roster, on paper, give
the Cowboys a _far_ more potient look about them.
The 1999 side will be younger, quicker and deeper
than the 1998 team, and should have some class in
the halves.
If we gel well, we'll be a finals force.
