I am a cartoonist. I do lot of drawing
both on paper and on computer. I also play mandolin
sometimes. I am not a professional in playing Mandolin, but play some old
Rafi and Kishore songs well :) [I plan to record me playing mandolin and
put it in an internet audio format here sometime ;) ] I also
love swimming and other water sports. I learnt a bit of Wind-Surfing.
Other than that i used to do Kayaking, rafting etc. I am
also into cooking tasty food if i am in the mood. I also
write some programs (particularly in Java) sometimes for
fun. The Java Site Guide applet is one such experiment. Also i made
all those icons in that applet too. When I was in Mysore, i used
to design microprocessor based circuits. Few of the things i designed
then include, an LED based advertisement board which used a Z-80 microprocessor
kit designed by me and the same kit was used to control a solenoid driven
cassette player mechanism.My Latest hobby is flying a Cessna Aircraft.
I am currently working as a Software Consultant
for HCL America Inc. and
am residing in Avenel, New Jersey USA. I work in C, C++ on Windows,
Java and a host of other
GUI platforms. Earlier I've worked on C++ frameworks like
MFC, OWL cross-platform frameworks like zApp, OWL, Neuron Data etc. I like
programing in Java and particularly interested in GUI and Graphics. Earlier,
I was working in Madras for about a year and half and before
that in Calcutta for an year and half.
