WHO IS NANETTE?

I'm a 41 year old nurse, I just was married on Feb. 13, 1998, and I work in a sub-acute and rehabilitation center. (Huh? Wha'zat?) Mostly, mine is an administrative kind of job (which means I do lots of paperwork and attend way too many unnecessary meetings!), but I also have a lot of contact with the patients and their families. I have to do some supervising, too, but, hey, let's not talk about that, OK? (too depressing! *hehe*).

I really love being a nurse (most of the time, that is!!); caring for those that are unable to care for themselves, relieving suffering, helping to heal and giving encouragement, hugs, and love to those that might, otherwise, not get any, are all very rewarding to me.

In my spare time, I'm a recovering chataholic,
I also enjoy gardening, bowling, throwing darts (at dart boards, mostly ... not people), listening to music (mostly Classic Rock), reading, and getting together with my friends!! Since meeting the wonderful man who is now my husband, I'm beginning to learn about the fine art of water gardening, and keeping, raising, and breeding koi and goldfish. There's so much to learn, I doubt I'll ever absorb it all! We also have a few kitties... OK several... OK, OK many... too many in some peoples' opinions probably, but the population explosion has now come to a screeching halt thanks to the wonders of modern veterinary medicine.

I love to travel!! Anywhere, anytime!! Just so long as it's away!! I like anyplace with mountains, running streams, lots of woods ... places to take long walks and commune with nature. 'Course, I also like to go to beach destinations ... love the sparkling clear Caribbean water to swim, snorkle, or to just soak up the rays with a Rum Runner to cool me off! Someday, I'd like to visit Australia and see just what it is about that country that makes all their citizens a silly bunch of fun-loving crazies! *L*
I'd also love to tour all the great castles of Europe, to see them, hear some of their stories and legends, and absorb some of their histories.

Well, now that I've bored you into a coma, I'll finish this up by saying that since I've been online I've met some truly wonderful people. I consider myself very fortunate to have made so many great friendships. Thanks for listening, and if you want to know anything more about me, feel free to ask!!
