TO DAD ON HIS DAY
Dad ever since I was a little girl I’ve known what a great father you are. I may not have shown it. I may not have always said the right things at the right time.
But the older I get the more I understand what a wonderful person you are. And when you punished and scolded me it must have been hard for you as well as it was for me.
I’d get mad and I’d say I'd never talk to him again. But I’d get over it because I loved you deep inside and I could never stay angry.
I can see and appreciate more clearly, now that I'm older, all the qualities that make you so special. How hard you worked to feed us and clothe us. You’re quiet caring and your sense of humor.
Your ability to remain fair, even when we made it impossible
And that’s why Father’s Day means even more to me then ever before, because I'm not just celebrating "My Dad" any more. I’m celebrating a warm and gifted man who has given so much to all who knows him.
Happy Father’s Day Daddy,
I love you very much,
MaryJane
From the Heart of MaryJane
A little extra for my dad, On August 7th my dad will be 81 years young. Knowing what a hard time we gave him while trying to grow up; I want to say to him and all fathers out there. In spite of everything we love you with all our hearts, and we’re real happy you survived.
A Fathers Prayer
"Our Father who art in heaven,
I am a father on earth.
You have given me this gift and responsibility.
Grant me the wisdom to carry it out.
Let me be there for my children when they need me,
And get out of their way when they don’t."
Amen
My Dad
A good father grows
Right along with his children
In knowledge as he teaches them,
In strength as he encourages them,
In joy as he laughs with them
In love as he holds them close
And then lets them go
For all the ways
You’ve help me grow
For holding close
And letting go
For everything
I hope you know
How much you’re loved
