CADETS FENCING
TOURNAMENT
Pisa - (ITALY)

The 1st International Fencing Tournament for cadets (6 weapons) only will be held on 22nd, 23rd and the 24th of January 1999. All fencers belonging to the cadet category, maximum age 17 years, and enrolled in their National Fencing Federation will be admitted. There will be no limit to the number of athletes that may compete for each foreign team. The International F.I.E. rules will apply with respect to equipment and competition procedures.

The tournament schedule will be:

The competition will be held at the Centro Sportivo Universitario (C.U.S.) of Pisa in via del Brennero. The C.U.S. centre is situated in the north-east suburbs of the city of Pisa and may be reached by taxi in 15 minutes from Pisa's central railway station or in 20 minutes from airport.

Applications to compete in the tournament must be sent by the 10th of January 1999 addressed to:

For each athlete applying please indicate:

- Name and surname
- Name of Fencing Club
- Nationality
- Date of birth
- Weapons practised

A federal enrolment fee of FF. 50 (about 15,000 Italian lire) must be paid before the beginning of the competition.

THE FIRST 8 NATIONS THAT SEND, VIA FAX, ENROLMENT DETAILS OF A COMPLETE DELEGATION OF 6 ATHLETES, 1 STAFF MEMBER AND 1 REFEREE WILL BE OFFERED 5 DAYS STAY WITH ACCOMMODATION, BREAKFAST AND ONE MEAL FREE OF CHARGE.

An agreement has been made with three stars Hotel Granduca di S.Giuliano Terme for the accommodation of athletes, staff and companions. This hotel is situated just 5 minutes from the competition centre and its tariffs (per person) are as follows:

- single room: Lit. 115.000
- double room: Lit. 85.000
- room with three beds: Lit. 78.000

including breakfast and one meal with drinks.
