Just tell me where you wanna go...

Brent's T.V.'s all about Laundry

There's a brand new dance that's going round called the Hickup!

Back at Humbolt State, on the cold and wet Northern California coast, two bright college kids, by the names of John and Chris, started a band to keep their sanity. For a named they pick Brent's T.V. and Appliances, but later dropped the Appliances to keep it short and sweet. Their music is brilliantly simple, no extended twenty minute guitar wanks. In fact their longest song is not even three minutes! It's brilliant! Most of the Brent's T.V. shows took place at laundromats, it's their hallmak. The laundromat shows were a huge gathering of friends dancing, singin, and playig on the washing machines. When Brent's T.V. did a laundromat tour the friends would follow too! All of this yielded the elegant 7" EP "Lumberjack Days" from Lookout! Records, and shortly after that the band disbanded. Then Green Day asked them to do a north-west tour, and Brent's T.V. accepted, except Brian didn't want to do it so Morgan from One Man Running was enlisted. Green Day couldn't go on the tour because they couldn't find a car(plans fell through at the last minute) so the guys of Brent's T.V. went on it anyway. Six people and gear loaded up into a Toyato hatchback and went on the tour without Green Day. Latter on the road Green Day met up with them, but after the reunion tour the band disbanded. John and Chris then went on to play in The Dukes of Burl with Quitty, and then went on to the fabulous Ne'er Do Wells, and Judy and the Loadies. Quitty and roadie Arron Cometbus went on to play in the Arcata version of Pinhead Gunpoweder, and now plays in Behead the Prophet No Lord Shall Live. Morgan is stuck with One Man Running, and Brian is living in the woods playing music. Brent's T.V.'s demo tape and other recording has been released in a split CD with John's brother Dallas' band, Sweet Baby (the first east-bay pop punk group), entitled "Hello Again" it's on Lookout! as well.
