It Begins With You

Due to glitches with the poll people, the results for the poll about the new Hi-Fives wardrobe are unavailable. The suits won though.

We all love 7" splits, right? Well this is what you all said the next Hi-Fives split shouldbe like. 44% of thos polled wanted to see a slit with The Mr. T Experience. Fran and The Fratfrantics were in second place with 20% of the votes. The Tantrums recieved 12% of the votes. The Smugglers and The Donnas each recieved 4% of the vote. 16% of the votes were split between The Odd Numbers and The Decibels. Nobody wanted to see a split with Gary and The Gaylords, the band I would have voted for.

Well, The Hi-Fives aren't going to remake "Road to Ruin". When asked, what band The Hi-Fives, if so inclined, would cover an entire album of material,43% of you opted for The Milkshakes, 43% of you opted for The Kinks, 14% of you didn't like any of the choices, and nobody liked notion of The Buzzcocks, Belle and Sebastian or Led Zepplin.

This poll was silly. It was to give Chris Imlay a nick name. The winner, with 52% of the votes, is Ollie! Kiroc recieved 35% of the vote. Bub got 9%, and Ernie had4% of the vote. Sterling got nothing.

I know we're all anticipating the next Hi-Fives release. Here's what people thought the next release should be on: 39% of you wanted to see a new full lenght. While another 39% of those voting wanted the quirky 10". 22% of you wanted the tride and true 7". Nobody, not even my grandmother, wanted a reel to reel release or an 8-track. Bummer.

Well... I must say we have one shaking group here. It seems that the vast majority of those who voted in this poll said that they would prefer to have a milkshake when listening to The Hi-Fives over a slurpee, root beer, or a martini. One brave soul said they would like a beer, but they shakes have it.

Let's make a video! If we all made a Hi-Fives music video 36% would want to shoot it in a club in Hamburg, like the early Beatles or The Milkshakes. 29% of you liked the idea of it being based at a high school dance. 21% of you liked the notion of it being a party with all the Lookout! brass in attendence. 7% of you fancied footage of them roaming the streets on scooters, and 7% of you felt that the "I'd Be So Pleased" video was substantial. Cheers!

Well, this was the poll to name my fish. What was I thinking when I came up with this one? Oh well. 33% of you felt that I should name my five fish after The Hi-Fives and Judy. Another 33% of you felt that I should name my fish after all four of the Douglas boys from My Three Sons and Katie. Then 17% said our gill-friends should be named after The Ne'er Do Wells/ Judy and The Loadies. The last 17% wanted my fish to be named after The Milkshakes and Holly. NONE of you felt the little darlings should be named after The Who. It's ok, one of the fish was eaten by the others, so I'll name them after The Judy and The Loadies.

If there was a knock-down-all-out brawl, 40% of you felt that John would win. Then there was a tie for second between Chris, Gary, and Steve, with 20% each. But of course we all know that this is all fiction.

Here is the breakdown of the "Let's Give A Cheer!" poll. The "best" band The Hi-Fives have played with, so says you, is The Mr T Experience, with 50% of the vote. No suprise there. Tied for second place with 17% were The Smugglers and Green Day of all people! Then came The Queers and Man Or Astroman? tied with 8% of the vote apiece.

Ok, so you all thought Jesse was dancing right? Well some of you were, and the rest were trying to figure out who Jesse is! Well, here's how the poll broke down. 10% of you felt Jess was doing The Twist, another 10% said he was doing The Dip, 10% said he was doing The Watusi, and 10% also said he was doing The Spaz. A whomping 60% said that Jesse was doing The Hickup, so when the old question arises about which dance Jess is doing, you can say "The Hickup!"

This was the poll dedicated to you, the fan. 25% of you felt the song "Love You Better" was about you, while another delusional 25% of you thought "A Whole Lot Of You" was written fo you. "You Can" and "It Won't Happen To You" only pulled in 19% of the vote each, and 13% of you felt "You Can" was for you. What sick puppies!

The results of the poll are here now!! Gary won as the best pedal pounder ever in The Hi-Fives with 56% of the vote. Some freaks kept voting for Al Sobrante giving him 25% of the vote. Julie, the great person she is, got 13% of the vote, and Danny got 6% of the vote. Evan got squat. Thanks for voting!

This poll's results indicated that 69% (19 votes) of you like The Hi-Fives better than anybody else, 17% (5 votes) have a liking to the Ne'er Do Wells, Brent's T.V. and Judy and the Loadies got 3% (1 vote) of the vote each, and Thee Shatners got a whomping 10% (3 votes). This sorta distresses me too. How did Thee Shatners beat out Brent's T.V. or Judy and The Loadies? I must be delusional. Oh well, thanks for voting!

Well, here are the results of the first poll... Chris is "Mr Popularity" with 7 votes, John came close with 6 votes, then Gary with 5, the ex-Hi-Five's with 4, and Steve with 3. How did he get only 3?!?! Come on people! Support Steve!!! I find this distressing. But then again, I'm partial to bass player.
