Saga of the Eclipsed Moon Part One
Bishojo Senshi Sailormoon Eclipse
Episode One-"Usagi-chans Birthday, Theft of the Heart"

The moon was hidden by the clouds, though a few, faint wisps of light escaped from behind the heavy veil. The Earth, covered by the light, slept soundly, as did a single girl in her bedroom.
She had been through so much, so very much, and now she had begun to find peace... Real peace. Because in the end of all the adversity, she had triumphed.
Usagi, asleep in her room, rolled over, as she sighed in sleepy contentment. Luna sat at the end of the bed, her gaze on her charge.
"Oh Usagi-chan... We've waited for this moment... You're so mature, and you deserve this day..." She smiled, then lay her head down, and closed her eyes, and was asleep...

"Hayaku Usagi-chan, hayaku! (Hurry, Usagi-chan, hurry!)" Luna called, and Usagi looked over at her, from where she sat at her desk.
"Hai, Luna! I'm coming!" She sighed, as she placed her brush down. She smiled. "I want today to be perfect."
"I know Usagi-chan, I know you do. We ALL do. Ureshii o-tanjobi, Usagi-chan. (Happy birthday, Usagi-chan.)" Usagi smiled down at the black furred cat.
"Arigato Luna... Oh, it's finally here, I'm 17 today."
"And not the bumbling clutz I found three years ago." Luna grinned, and Usagi pouted in mock anger.
"Oh Luna!" She tried to go on, but she couldn't help but giggle, and then she laughed. Luna grinned, and joined in. Then, tears from the laughter in her eyes, Usagi stood up, pushing her chair in. "Let's go."

"Happy birthday, Usagi-chan!" Her friends stood around her. They were all at Makoto's apartment-The only place big anough for all of them.
"Arigato, minna!" She smiled, tears of joy in her eyes.
"Now, here's the cake... " The group proceeded to sing 'Happy Birthday' to Usagi. Then, they cut the cake, as she opened her presents.
From Ami-An apointment book.
"Well, you WILL one day rule the world. You should be learn to be more punctual."
"Arigato Ami-chan."
From Rei, she received a new kimono.
"Well, I knew you wanted a new one..." Rei said with a smile on her face. Usagi's eyes had brightened when she pulled the silk dress from the box.
"Arigato, Rei-chan, I love it!"
From Makoto, she received a pair of silver earrings, silver hoops with three dangly crystals hanging from each.
"I thought theyed be perfect for you, Usagi-chan."
"Oh Mako-chan," She said, smiling, as she removed her gold studs, and replaced them with the silver earrings. "They're beautiful! Arigato!"
From Minako, she received a crystal rabbit pendant.
"Arigato! It's so cute!"
"I knew you'd like it, Usagi-chan!"
From Setsuna, she received a watch, silver and gold with a golden cresent in the back ground. Their were stars on the hour and minute hands.
"An appropriate gift, from the Mistress of Time. Arigato, Setsuna-san."
"Do itashimashite,(You're welcome) Usagi-chan. I knew you'd like it."
From Haruka, she received a set of keys.
"What's this?"
"Well, you're 17... It's a new car. Michiru helped me pick it out... It's more of a gift from her and me."
"A new car?" She asked, stunned. Haruka nodded,
"Hai... I think our Princess is old enough to have one."
"Ar-arigato!"
From Michiru, she received a white silk choker, with a silver clasp at the back. It was embroidered with silver thread, in a design like moons and stars.
"It's beautiful... " Usagi whispered.
"And it will go perfectly with your dress." Michiru replied. Here, let me help you put it on... " Usagi nodded, and Michiru helped her.
"It is beautiful, Usagi-chan!"
"Arigato, arigato, Michiru-san."
From Hotaru, she received a delicate silken fan.
"Oh, it's so pretty..." She said, fanning herself. She giggled.
"It's not a car..." Hotaru grinned. "But I knew you'd like it."
"Thank you, Hotaru-chan."
"Your welcome!"
And, last but definately not least, from Mamoru she received...
"Usako, I have something to ask you. Something that I have wanted to ask you for who knows how long." He went to his knees. "Usako, will you marry me?" Her eyes were bright with tears, this time tears of joy. She nodded.
"Yes, yes, yes, Mamo-chan!" They kissed, and all the girls around them watched with smiling faces.
"Happy birthday... " He whispered into her ear.

The girl had long, golden blond hair, and clear blue eyes. Her hair was unbound, and tumbled down behind her in silky waves. She wore black sunglasses, and slid them off to take a look around. "Hmmm... Is this the place?" She took a mirror out of her bag, silver with a smooth, black surface. She looked into it's calm surface, then grinned, and a cresent moon flared briefly on her forehead. "Yes, this IS the place."
"Everything was perfect." Usagi said, a smile on her face, as she leaned against Mamoru. They were sitting on the front porch of the temple, calm and serene.
"Yes, it has been, Usako."
"Mamo-chan, I love you so much..." She whispered, and he put his arm around her, then lifted her face up.
"I love you too..." And then, their lips came closer and closer together...
"Excuse me, what do you think you're doing kissing MY bethrothed?"
"What?!" Usagi cried, staring at the girl who stood their. She had long, wavy blond hair, and wore black sunglasses that contrasted sharply with her pale blue, long sun dress. Mamoru just blinked in utter confusion. *What is going on?!*
"You heard what I said, commoner."
"Co-commoner?! Just who ARE you!" The girl slid her black sunglasses off, and narrowed her eyes in disjust and hatred at Usagi. "No mere commoner should ever be able to hear my true name. So, you may call me Gekko Hikaru."
"Now, Gekko Hikaru, I have a few things to tell you! I'm going to marry Mamo-chan, and no one else! So you had best just go!"
Hikaru, her eyes still narrowed, grinned. "If you think it's that easy...." She chuckled. "I'll go now, but believe me, I won't let you have him." And with that, she turned away, and left.
"Mamo-chan..." Usagi whispered, holding tightly to him. He wrapped his arms around her.
"It'll be alright, Usako..." *Won't it?*

"She said WHAT?!"
"You heard what I said, Rei-chan. She said Mamo-chan was her betrothed!"
"She really must be insane." Ami said outloud.
"Yeah, Usagi-chan and Mamoru-san are going to be married...."
"It's to bad he had to leave." Minako said quietly, and Usagi nodded.
"Hai, I miss him so much... And I'm afraid of what she'll do to get him."
"Don't be worried, Usagi-chan. Nothing will happen." Usagi looked over at Minako, her eyes wide with fear and worry.
"I'm sorry, Minako-chan, I just can't believe you..."

Mamoru walked along, and really wishing he'd brough his motorcycle to the temple that day. **But, it's too late to complain now.** He though bitterly, as he quickened his pace. He stopped suddenly, a strange feeling nagging at the edge of his awareness. He turned around, and stepped back when he saw who stood their. Standing a few feet from him was Gekko Hikaru, the girl from the temple, the girl who had tried to claim him, like he was just an object. He took another step back, when she smiled possessively. She took off her sunglasses, revealing her blue eyes. Blue eyes whiched seemed to see right through him...
**She look's so familiar...** He thought, but he couldn't place her face. Even though he felt like he'd seen that same face a million times before...
"What do you want?" He asked, as she slowly slid her glasses into her bag, then lifted her gaze to him.
"Don't you know?" She replied, gazing up at him longinglly... Loveingly? Mamoru shook his head,
"I'm afraid I don't..." She pouted, her gaze sad, as she lowered her gaze. Then she looked up, and her eyes went cold.
"Oh, please, don't make me use force." She said quickly, the sound chilling Mamoru.
"Force?" He asked, **What is wrong with this girl?!**
"I see I have no other choice." she said softly, almost sadly, as she reached into her bag, and pulled out a mirror. Her voice hadn't been cold either. It had been... Had it been sad. **What...** She stood their, staring into the mirrors surface, then looked up at him. He felt rooted to the ground, he couldn't move, he could hardly breath. "You belong to me." Her voice was now possessive, and Mamoru then truly knew fear. She held up the mirror, and he saw that it's surface was black, no reflection at all. "And I'll destroy anyone who tries to change that." Black light, laced with silver, came from the mirror, and shot out at Mamoru. He was engulfed, and as he felt his free will stolen away, he realized who why her face was so familiar... **Usa...** Then, he was completely under the mirrors control. Under her control...
"You belong to me..." She said once again, and this time it was true...
