WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOU VISIT US...

Many people are hesitant to attend worship services at an unfamiliar church. To help you feel at ease when you come to visit with us, we would like to tell you what you can expect.

COURTESY AND KINDNESS

We consider visitors to our assemblies to be our special guests. All are greeted with courtesy and kindness. (Acts 10:34-35; Galatians 3:28)

Our classes are informal, and all are invited to participate. Guests may listen and observe, without being embarrassed Guests will not be "put on the spot." We study only the Bible and related topics.

Visitors will not be embarrassed or singled out for any sort of demonstration or testimony. You can quietly observe and study that which you see and hear. (1 Corinthians 14:40).

ORDER AND REVERENCE

Guests in our assemblies usually find them familiar, yet a little different. Good order will prevail at every service. (1 Corinthians 14:33) Brethren lead the congregation reverently and quietly in prayer (1 Timothy 2:1-5) and devoutly in song.

Like the first century Christians, we will sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs as God has commanded. (Ephesians 5:19) The sincere praise of His people is to come from the heart (Colossians 3:16).

On Sunday, the Lord's day, the congregation remembers Jesus' sacrifice by eating of unleavened bread and drinking fruit of the vine. This is done as commanded by Jesus, to remember his death. (Matthew 26:26-29). We do this on the first day of every week, as did Christians in the first century (Acts 20:7).

The only collection is taken only on the Lord's day (1 Corinthians 16:1-3). This congregation is supported by the free will offerings of its members. We do not ask non-members to financially support our work, nor do we have fund raising activities like rummage sales and bingo games. All of our activity is spiritually oriented. Our studies and lessons are always Bible based and oriented.

THE BIBLE - OUR ONLY GUIDE

We strive to have everything we teach and practice come from the Bible. You will never be asked to accept what man says. We want you to read the Bible for yourself to see "whether those things are so" (Acts 17:11).
