A Moment in Time
Once in every occasional while
Thoughts reach back and brings a smile
Reflecting on times that were shared
Across the distance, there is someone who cares
What exactly is a year? Is it just merely time?
Or is that answer more complex, difficult to find
It is said that time flys when one is having fun
Pass so very quickly, like seasons in the sun
Then when pain comes and resides in state
Moments drag so slowly, never seeming to abate
Time is also said to be linear, a straight road to follow
Influenced by choices, both fulfilling and hollow
You sit back and reflect, both stunned and amazed
Sometimes staring off into space, with eyes all a glazed
Somehow or other, you have kept it together
Keeping your love ones close, through all kinds of weather
An accomplishment indeed, one that provides
an answer to the question in your mind
What exactly is a year? Its just a moment in time
