My Family

I am a married man with a daughter called Anna Minh Trang who was born to us in Adelaide, South Australia. My wife is Lan Anh and she was born in Hanoi, Vietnam too. We met few years before I went to Thailand to do my master course. I am really grateful to my wife patience cause she had been waiting for me for quite a long time until we finally got married on January 9, 1993 in Hanoi.

During all these years that I was always for my studies, she had sent me a lot of letters not only to express her love and care, but also to encourage me to overcome many difficulties that I faced during various stages of my studies, including one that I had almost given up my PhD course once for all. So, my success today is of course hers too and I am very proud of her and gratefull to her for what she had done in my life.

Our Anna Minh Trang is amazing little girl. She is just four and half year old but she has already built up her own strong character which makes us very proud of. Can you imagine that she can read and write Vietnamese rather fluently already ? Besides, she knows a lot of other things that surprise us a lot of time. In addition, she like to paint a lot and she can draw some very cute scratches including Doraemon, Hello Kitty and others. She can speak some Japanese, English and she is going to go to Kindy very soon. Anna has been going to Ingle Farm Primary school since we come back to Australia 9/1999. She made a great progress inher English and can communicate with other children here quite comfortably. She know how to read and write Vietnamese very well already and now learing read and write in English. She like drawin a lot and spent a lot of time doing it. We had a pretty good collection of her "paintings" and they look quite cute. I hope to show you some of her best paintings very soon. We are very happy to see her growth and makes progress day by days indeed.

Last year, I have invited my mum and my parents-in-law to come to Japan to visit us here in Tsukuba. We are very happy to see them and they are happy to see us too because this is the first time they meet their grand-daughter Minh Trang. We had them joined the Nikko trip which is organized by JISTEC and they enjoy it very much. We took them to Tokyo to visit Imperial Palace, Ginza Shopping Mall, Ushiku's Buddhist Statue and Tsukuba Mountain and few other places too. I'll show you more pictures about our trips with our parents soon.
