My Women Of the Month for -December- is... the one and only super female, Sarah McLachlan.

Why she has been picked... Well let's see. If any of you might have known.... Sarah is a totally kewl changing female. I've admired her work, and talent since I 1st heard a glimpse of her music a few years ago. I was blown away by her unique voice and style. But for those that are still a bit lost, listen up....
In recent times, off of her newly released album Surfacing, Sarah's big hit is "Building A Mystery." For many that had never even known of this women, by now this song would get them hooked. Some other tracks include, "Angel", "Witness", and "Sweet Surrender."
Going Back a bit, there was Sarah's album Fumbling Towards Ecstacy. Some big hits from that album were...."Possesion", "Good Enough", "Fear", and "Circle". This album in it's entirity captures the souls of anyone who might hear it. The emotion & effort put into these tracks by Sarah is just amazing, along with the acoustic theme, it gives this album a must to anyone... Sarah McLachlan's Fumbling Towards Ecstacy...
Then even farther back, there is Solace. Some tracks included on it would be..."Into the Fire", "Lost", and "Mercy." This album as well as Fumbling Towards Ecstacy is great on acoustic performances. Having every song written and performed by Sarah, it gives the listener an inside depth into her mind. As she had released in an article, Sarah once said, "...All my songs were written at a time when I either felt depressed and down, or they might have been when I was at the peak of my talent, but never did I ever expect anyone of them." An excellent album, Solace.
Along with ther great talent she possesed,Sarah was also widely admired on tour with the Lillith Fair this summer. She, along with other power females ran one of the biggest touring concerts in the USA. All the genious of this tour was all in all 1st created by none only, Sarah McLachlan. First hosting the show in early 97, Sarah, with her skill, called up as many talented female artists as she could, as the Lilith Fair took a strong hold.... The "Lollapalooza with Women", she called it, yet "this" fair will from now on be ranked ever so high among shows.....as it continues to largen. The tour is over for this year, as the last performance was in October. But Next year holds new ground for the fine talented females.

This Women Of the Month page was created in November, but will be registered as the "December Artist". Sorry about the late updates, but this will be my last "WOM" for a while. (sorry). Every month or so i'll add another female that's worth getting noticed. (i know i have many of them lined up).but please keep tuned in for new great female artists. let me know if you have a suggestion for a certain "female artist" and i'll think about it's nomination. or if you have any comments just email.
