JUDGES:
Judges
will consist of parents, teachers, college students, and community
members. All schools are asked to
provide one judge for every four debaters and every ten IE entries. Teams not bringing judges will be asked to
pay an additional $25 in judging fees (schools traveling over 100 miles will be
exempt from this fee). PLEASE BRING JUDGES
IF POSSIBLE. Let me know how many
judges you will be bringing when you send in registration.
LIMITS:
Each
school is limited to a total of 50 entries.
Students may not double-enter in the same pattern.
FEES:
$25.00
per school, plus $5.00 per individual
event entry, $5.00 per congress entry, and $7.00 for each LD team. Duo Interp. counts as one entry. Make checks payable to Grants Pass High
School Speech Team.
AWARDS:
Ribbons
will be awarded for all finalists, and trophies will be given out for 1st, 2nd,
and 3rd places. Sweepstakes trophies will be awarded for the top three schools.
FOOD:
There
are no restaurants within easy walking distance of the high school, but we will
have lots of good, healthy food available for students to purchase (along with
the traditional junk food). To help us
stay on schedule please encourage your students to eat ON CAMPUS. Also, remind your students that ABSOLUTELY
NO FOOD OR DRINK are allowed in the new high school building. Students should keep all food in the
"hang out" area in the commons.
Snacks and a lunch will be provided for coaches and judges.
