Dear Forensic Folks,

You and your squad are cordially invited to attend the Clackamas Edge Holiday Speech Tournament on December 9, 2000.

Registration- Unlimited but no conflicts with within patterns for debate nor any conflicts with congress. Conflicts allowed in IE's.

Divisions- Jr. & Sr. in all events. Events will be collapsed upwards and sideways as needed.

Patterns

Pattern A: Dual Interp, Expository, Storytelling, Poetry, Impromptu, Public Debate

Pattern B: ADS, LDV, Prose, Humorous, Serious, Oratory

Student Congress all day--Conflicts with everything

Fees- No school fee. $3 per entry per individual event. Each duo team counts as one entry. Each Public Debate team counts as two entries. One judge covers 6 entries. $10 for each six entries uncovered by a judge.

Deadlines- Entries: December 7th, 6pm. Drops: December 8th, High Noon.

Rules- State rules in all events except Storytelling. NFL rules for Storytelling (a 4-minute maximum re-telling of a story).

Topic Areas- Public Debate Jr. Division: Current events and value issues from the Middle East, Asia Minor and southern Eastern Europe (Hungary to Yemen, Libya to Afghanistan). Storytelling: (This year's NFL Topic) "Tall Tales".

Food- A nice snack bar is on site. There are few eateries within walking distance.

Awards- First through third place in all events and an overall sweepstakes.

11:45am Round II Pattern B

4:00pm Awards and Clean Up
