JEAN MEHAFFEY WHITLOCK 1954 - 1975 FLIGHT ATTENDANT, CHIEF FLIGHT ATTENDANT GSW DAL DEN Jeannie Mahaffey (God rest her soul) was another very special person, as they all were back then. She's there with all the rest in the heavenly hangar awaiting our arrival. What a great party we're all gonna have, LIKE THE OLD DAYS. -Clyde Hart (12/22/99) Clyde, do your have any info on Mahaffey I can use for an obit page? Didn't she marry Capt. Whitlock? -Jake Lamkins (12/23/99) Yes she did. I kinda lost track of her after Walt Whitlock died, but heard that she drove up the off ramp of a freeway after George Ceshker's party, hit a truck and was decapitated. Del Booth would probably know more. He's in a rest home in the pacific northwest. His wife, Judie, passed away a few years ago. -Clyde Hart (12/24/99) I ran across the info regarding the Central/Frontier reunion too late. My name was Mary Jane (Janey) Bailey and I flew out of GSW 1965-1968. I was in the class with Nancy Tipton and Jeanne Hamilton. I now live in Houston. I met someone here who use to date Jean McHaffey (sp) one of Central's very senior stews. He was asking me if I knew what ever happened to her.? My memory tells me that she married a captain?Do you have any info on her. I by the way met up with Jeanne Hamilton by accident. She is still flying...Central...Frontier..Continental. My husband and I were on a flight from Paris two years ago and she the was the flight attendant! I had not seen her since 1968! Nancy Tipton Clopton I am sorry to say passed away from an aneurysm while playing golf a few years ago.. Hoping to hear any info regarding Jean McHaffey so I can pass it along to her childhood sweetheart! -Janey Bailey Swanson (2/17/05) Hello Janey Nice to hear from you, and very interesting. There are still several FA, around, and Cen/Fal still have a Reunion each year on Sat. Oct. 29th. in FTW, and you would really meet a lot of the Fal People. There is really a great TurnOut. I will forward this to Jim Ford, as he now handles all of the Mail Outs, and can give you about any one's Phone # and Address, that you are wondering about. Now, Jean MaHaffey, married the Chief Pilot, Walt Whitlock, and at that time, she was still the same old Jean, and she later had a Son, named Alexender Whitlock, and he was the Joy of both Walt, and Jean, and when he was a couple years old, Walt died of Cancer, and Jean about a Year Later, was Killed in a Car Wreck, and her Brother In Wichita Ka. took the Boy to raise. That is about all that I can recall at this time. I am now living in OKC, as I was born and raised here in OK. and am really enjoying my Senior Years. Please reply if you need any more information. -Bill Blackmon (2/17/05) JEAN WHITLOCK Born 30 May 1935 Died Oct 1975 Age 40 At 76135 (Fort Worth, Tarrant, TX) SSN issued in Kansas This is Jeannie - zip code matches Walt's -SSDI (9/6/05) The correct spelling of Jean's maiden name is Mehaffey per several articles in the CN Skywriter. -Jake Lamkins (7/31/06) Posted at the FL Club: Updated memorial webpage http://OR2.tripod.com/Walt_Whitlock.html Walt Whitlock, GSW pilot Walt was 54 when he died of cancer in Oct 1971.
