One of the finest leg spinners of his time, Mushtaq Mohammad made his debut for Pakistan as a teenager in 1958. Considered to be an allrounder, Mushy has 10 Test Match 100's to his credit along with 79 odd test wickets. After retiring from active cricket in 1978, Mushtaq moved to England where he set base as a cricketing coach. Returning to Pakistan to coach the national team, Mushtaq had a bumpy ride as the national coach. Following the teams poor performance in the Independence cup in India, people were calling for Mushtaq and Ramiz Raja's heads. Ramiz was sacked and Mushtaq received the same treatment. A poor way to treat a man who did a fine job with the resources available as the team coach. Nevertheless, he was a fine cricketer and deserves mention as a Pakistan Legend.
