Zaheer Abbas was one of the most stylish batsmen of his time with a
sound technique and the temperament to back it up. He was referred to
as the 'Asian Bradman'! Zaheer was probably the most consistent
batsman in the team during his prime, and was comfortable against
both fast and spin bowling, although he got into a lot of trouble
on bouncy tracks with his tendency to rely on the front foot.He was
considered to be a dasher, often getting out due to a sudden
rush of blood...Considered to be a top class slip fielder, Zaheer
captained Pakistan on quite a few occasions during his career.
Today he is a National selector and is the Coach for the Pakistan
International Airlines Cricket team. He remains connected to cricket,
and has been a valuable coach to many young players in Pakistan.
One more Pakistan Cricket Legend...Zaheer Abbas.
