This is an excellent book for the Patterdale Terrier owner or anyone who is interested in working terriers. Robert Burns' stories are wonderfully written and the illustrations are great. Below is a sample of one of the illustrations by Kansas artist Gary Beiler.


The book also offers a section on terrier work, quarry and the dogs used in North America. there are also comments by an english terrierman and some insight into working, through the poems of David Short.
