History of the Lambda Mu Chapter

In the year 1979, on a cold dreary night a brother of great knowledge and charisma stepped on the yard of Indiana University of Pennsylvania. This brother was from the University of Virginia were he was number 6 of a prestigous line named BLUE MAGIC. On his journey he found that there were no brothers of PHI BETA SIGMA FRATERNITY INC. So he searched for young men that would represent PHI BETA SIGMA to its full potential. So he carefully selected 5 brothers, that he felt would uphold the ideals of BROTHERHOOD, SCHOLARSHIP, and SERVICE. These brothers were the start of something that has been held to the greatest level of prestige. These were the brothers known as the original 6. This was also the start of the chapter known as, the MIGHTY LAMBDA MU Chapter chartered April 11, 1980 and became the first black greek letter organization chartered at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
