I have many friends on-line.  One gal I met in Yahoo chat last year, and we have written back and forth almost daily since July 1998.  I have several friends I've met in Talk City chat.  Another friend I met because she thought I was sending her unwanted e-mail!!  All of these people help enrich my life.  They are there when I have problems, and they are there to share in the laughter and joy.
If someone told me a couple of years ago, that people I've never seen would mean so much to me -- I'd tell them they were crazy.  BUT here I am!  I'm sure you have experienced the same feelings, and its really difficult to explain to people that aren't on-line.  I've stopped trying!  I know how I feel, and that's all that matters.

I have a special friendship with Bonnie.  Met her several months ago, and we write several times a day.  We try to out-do each other with e-mail designs!!  I have laughed so hard at some of her mail -- have had tears streaming down my face!  I consider her a best friend.  Just like the two I see regularly, and have known for years.  She can tell when I'm happy or sad -- just from what I write! I am very grateful that I have her as a special friend that I can count on - no matter what. Heard it said that true friends are angels without wings ~ and I believe that.
I've seen poems on the web talking about getting to know someone from the inside out, and its true.  What is nice about cyberfriendships - it doesn't matter if you gain weight - lose weight - or have a bad hair day.  They know the part of you that really counts - your feelings and views on things.  Your personal appearance has nothing to do with it.

I have another close friend I'm fond of - JC.  He has been a very special buddy to me.  No cyber flirting, or any of that stuff - just a nice comfortable friendship.  He and I write about our family.  Sharing feelings about kids, divorce, and the state of world affairs!! I've shared alot with him, and consider him a very good friend.
I met a couple of new gals just a few weeks ago, and I've become very fond of them also. Becky and Ellie. Every time I run into a problem while making pages, I scream to them for help!  One of them is always there to bail me out of the mess I've gotten myself into!!  They've given me alot of advice, tips, and support while I'm typing my fingers off with these pages! (( hugs )) to both of them!
My friend from Yahoo is Pat.  She has pointed out a different point of view on many things when my head was spinning!  She was there when my life was like a roller coaster out of control!  She did her best to get me grounded again.  Never making fun of me, or criticizing -- just offering support.  Although, she did say she was about to jump on a plane, and land in my backyard!

It still amazes me how people "connect" on a screen. But I'm here to tell you --- "connect" we do!!  Most of the people I've met are special in their own way. I love getting mail from them telling me about their jobs, kids, pets, and what they are doing in their every day lives.  Watching romances blossoming to the point of getting married! Hearing the sorrow and disappointment about those relationships that just never seem to get off the ground, or finding out it was just a game to one of them. I've seen alot of people get hurt - deeply - on the inter-net also.
In the "real world", we have a certain defense going on - don't usually allow people to get too close right away.  On the web, those defenses don't seem to be in place as carefully.  That's when people get hurt.  Trusting someone that shouldn't have been.If someone wants to be mean, its really easy to type something that someone wants to hear. This is not only about a possible romance, but just between friends.  And then that person turns around and starts rumors to other people that aren't true.  Just for the fun of sitting back and watching the fur fly.  I try hard to avoid those kinds of people. We get hurt enough in our every day lives -- we don't need it on the web also.
So ~ like I said ~ I have several very special friends on-line ~ and this page is dedicated to them.  Thank you for your support, help, laughter, tears, opinions, but most of all
