~ Clouds ~

CLOUDS

Have you ever taken the time to REALLY watch the clouds? If not, you should! They are as beautiful as the ocean I love so much.
They are fun to watch. On a day nice day, they are big, white, and fluffy. I know there are special names for them, but I don't care ~ just big fluffy puffs! Slowly moving across the bright blue sky.
Living where I do (near San Francisco, Ca) we don't get clouds like other states.
Sometimes I see big white ones with gray around the edges. Moving in clumps ... storm either coming or leaving.
Its fun to make animals and things out of the clouds. Some of the shapes are so pretty.

I like to daydream about unicorns flying through the sky ~ way above the clouds. Looking down to see what we are doing.
Angels are up there too. Keeping an eye on things, and making sure we take the time to look up.
Once in awhile, it's like watching giant mountains moving across the sky.
I enjoy watching the fog roll down the mountain side where I live. It pours over the hills like wispy white clouds. Straight down ~ getting thicker as it goes. It's really beautiful.
The clouds I love the most are the gray/black ones.
You just know they are full of rain, and sometimes thunder. It's rare we get thunder storms here ~ so it's really exciting when we do!
I'm one of those "nuts" that turns off all the lights, and stand at the window to watch the flashes of lightning! Then listens for the thunder! Love it!
Had some excitement once ~ lightning hit the telephone pole in front of the house ... went down the guide wire in the ground .. and hit our gas meter on the side of the house! Son leaving for work saw flames shooting up the side of the house. Fire Department and Utility Company sent guys out. New gas meter! LOL
I'm going to Maryland with a friend in a few weeks. Asked her dad to order a storm for me! Heard they are really fun there!

I kind of feel sorry for people that don't take the time to enjoy the things God has given us.
My ocean is one, and the clouds are another. You might not have an ocean near you, but I'm sure there are clouds.
Like I said before ~ they can be beautiful.
Try looking out your window, and just watch them drift by some day. Or pull over in the car, and watch them. Let your mind wander as you sit there .... let a little fantasy in your mind.
Maybe you will see unicorns or angels.
No one can prove they AREN'T there!!
Lots more fun believing they are.
Sure glad my mom taught me about clouds, and I've taught my kids. They've been known to pull over, and stop and watch them ... just like me!
Maybe that's why I always leave so early for an appointment ... never know if you will have to stop ~ and watch a unicorn fly through a big white fluffy cloud.

MARYLAND UPDATE!!! Talk about beautiful clouds! They were wonderful!
We had two terrific thunderstorms while I was there.....nothing like the San Francisco Bay Area ... I loved it!!
Huge fluffy white clouds drifting by ... could almost reach out and touch one.
Looked for unicorns, but they were hiding!!
