I was cruising around on the web looking for clip art ~ when I came across Mickifan's site. All these Disney images!! I couldn't let that go by. So here are a few of my favorites ~ along with some darling graphics.
BAMBI ~ One of my all time favorites. I don't think many people that saw this movie as a kid ~ could view deer hunting without emotion! Of course, my father only went after the "bad deer" - the ones with horns!!I still remember those famous lines "Your mother won't be with you anymore". Each time I took one of my kids to see that movie ~ those words got to me! I remember Thumper laughing when Bambi was trying to walk, and when the lake was frozen and he was trying to walk on the ice. Some movies just make lasting impressions, and this one did for me!
Also remember as each one of his little friends met a "lady"! The expressions on their little faces were so darn cute! I can understand why this movie is considered a "classic". I still have the urge to call skunks "Flower" ~ LOL
CINDERELLA ~ What litle girl doesn't grow up wishing she had a fairy godmother, and that her "Prince" would come along some day ~ and rescue her from whatever situation she is in at the time! I think what I liked the best ~ were the little mice! They were sooo cute running around trying to help her. No matter how mean people were to her, Cinderella was kind to everyone. Then there was her bumbling fairy godmother! Couldn't remember the right spell to use! The little mice running because they were afraid to get twanged by her magic wand.
Then they were sooo proud to pull the carriage. Of course, Cinderella looked beautiful going to the ball. Everyone hoping the Prince would notice her. He did! Along with her mean stepmother and stepsisters!
As we all know, the story has a happy ending, and Cinderella got her "Prince" after all the mean things her step family did to stop it. This is truly a fairy tale, but its fun to dream once in awhile.
LITTLE MERMAID ~ This is a cute little story. I must have watched the video for this movie a thousand times! Little kids can watch the same thing over and over again! Kids never seem to get tired of watching a movie they like. I knew every song by heart! Luckily, I enjoyed the movie also.
If you want to think of a deeper meaning to this movie ~ I would think it would be to understand each other's world. Each thought badly of the other ~ until Ariel crossed over and fell in love.
I loved the cats in this movie. If I remember correctly, there was a mad rush to buy Cocker Spaniels after this movie came out! Wonder if there was a rush on Siamese cats also.
