This course is intended for people who have undertaken the MLTB training course or equivalent and have logged experience of undertaking mountaineering activities. These assessments can also be undertaken on a weekend organised by the applicant. One of the county assessors can join the trip and will assume responsibility for the mountain day/expedition. The suitability of the venue, route and party for the assessment are to be agreed beforehand with the assessor. Please note that an assessment of navigation in poor conditions shall be part of the assessment and, if weather conditions determine, this may require assessment after dusk. For further information contact the County Mountaineering Advisor. (All costs incurred by the assessor shall be paid for by the applicant).
