F.A.I. Cup Final Replay

BOHS 0-1 SHELS

Not a classic encounter by any stretch of the imagination, a typical 1-0 scoreline. Bohs played, in my opinion, poorly throughout and lacked imagination throughout the park, the Shels keeper wasn't near as busy as he was in the first match. There was a sense of inevitability in the build up to Pat Fenlon's goal but try as we might we couldn't get back into it.

The fans in the Shed were brilliant throughout the match and afterwards and the atmosphere was still great despite the defeat.

Avery John did his international prospects no favours when he opted to play for Bohs instead of Trinidad & Tabago for whom he would have been guaranteed a start. Imagine a National League player playing on the same team as superstar Dwight Yorke. Maybe it augurs well for the league and for Europe next season. Eastern Europe here we come!!!
