I will freely admit, I rarely watch
or like movies. However bad the following movies may be, I still love and
recommend them.
Other movies by Wim Wenders: Far
Away So Close (the movie that got me into the whole series), Until
the End of the World, and The
Scarlet Letter. (His version of The Scarlet Letter is beautiful, good
luck finding it!)
Edward
Scissorhands: This movie has been one of my favorites since I was a
little girl. I remember seeing it with my parents the day it came out.
Words cannot describe how I feel about this movie and how closely it touches
me.
The
Prophecy: Another movie about angels, but of a different sort.
The
Cabinet of Dr. Caligari: One of my favorite old movies...the sets and
visuals are amazing.
More old movies I enjoy: Freaks,
Metropolis,
Faust,
The
Maze, The Seventh Seal,
Nosferatu.
Any of the Vincent Price / Edgar
Allen Poe movies: House of Usher,
Masque of the Red Death,
The Pit and the Pendulum,
The Raven, The
Haunted Palace,
The Oblong
Box.
Sleepy
Hollow: One of those movies I can watch over and over again. The visuals
are great. (And it's not too gory, so I can actually watch it all the way
through!)
From
Dusk til Dawn: Speaking of gory movies...the only one I can watch.
For reasons unknown, I love this movie.
Drop
Dead Fred: Most people laugh when I say I love this movie - obviously,
these are people who have never seen it. It's a great movie.
Any and all of the Star Wars movies,
but especially Return of the
Jedi -- the emperor is cool.
