Dear Pat
I wrote this letter out a week or two ago and I am sending it at midnight of your birthday....I am going to set the clock in case Bubba is home so I can be the first to wish you a birthday day greeting....and tell you some of the things I think of when I think of you...

When I think of you I think of kindness and warmth and of a friendship that is pure and honest...something that is hard to find in todays world and I am so lucky to have found it with you...someone once asked me how I could be friends with someone I had never met and might never be able to meet and I told them I felt your friendship and concern all the way across the states and I knew that I could trust you with my deepest secrets and all my hopes and dreams....I told this person that we have laughed and cried and knowing you are there just makes me know I am never alone....

So on your birthday I want to thank you for giving me the best gift of all...and that is the gift of your friendship...which to me is the most priceless gift a person can give and I will cherish and honor it always...
