I had a good day today! I made it to my training session this morning and also to an advanced step class this evening. I had a difficult time during the step class, but stayed until the end. I think I had about 10 minutes combined of "down-time."
Yesterday there was an airplane accident. Two planes collided and 3 people died. One of the people was an aerobics instructor that taught some classes at the gym I go to. I really liked her classes and was fortunate enough to have spoken to her about how unhappy I was at work. She is one of the people who told me that life was too short to be doing something that made you miserable.
Although I didn't know her as well as I would have liked, what she said to me gave me that extra oomph to go to school and try something else. For that I will truly be grateful. When I think about how she died (she was a student pilot doing what she loved), what kind of person she was, and the advice she gave me, I think of the saying that goes: "People are in your life for a reason, a lifetime or a season."
