Patient: You said something very interesting here. Maybe I am just stupid but,...what does the barometer have to do with our pain? Many times I have said to doctor's that I felt my pain was weather related...they looked at me like I was stupid! Some have told me that was an old wives tale. I have arthritis, bursitis, Fibromyalgia...does the weather affect it? Do you know how? Why?. Anonymous~; )

You may have Ankylosing Spondylitis, and if you do ad your doctor didn't
diagnose it, how's he gonna know the barometer effects your pain? Of
course it does! As the air pressure drops, it puts pressure on your
nerves, causing more pain. Some "doctor" who would call that an "Old
Wives Tale!" Hah! So many doctors have told women that they didn't need
the HLA-B27 blood test because "you can't have that" it's frightening.
"You can't find what you don't look for" a doctor once wrote.
