"Ozzie is a sweet and gentle boy who has been with Pet Action League since 1991. At times, he seeks sanctuary in the woods that surround the property. The woods make him feel safe. That is where he came from and that is where he goes back to when he feels threatened. The woods make him feel safe, but not as safe as Oreo makes him feel. Oreo, his beloved companion, his ever present protector. What would life be like without Oreo? In 1991 Ozzie found out when we trapped Oreo without knowing that he had another "half" living out in the safety of the woods. Ozzie depended on Oreo for his very survival. Oreo had always taken care of him. Without Oreo, what would he do? How would he live? How could he take care of himself? Thankfully he didn't need to wait too long for an answer to those questions! His plaintive cries of despair alerted us to his presence, and so we had a happy reunion and an even happier ending!
Some people think that he doesn't exist. When he hears the sound of strangers, he melts into the woods like a gentle ghost in the night. However, if you look carefully through the undergrowth, you might just see the hint of a sky blue eye solemnly peering back at you!"
