Hanson :

Isaac, Taylor and Zac grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma. They have four younger siblings, Zoe (0), Mackenzie (3), Avery (6), and Jessica (9). The oldest trio first started singing together when their parents, Walker and Diana Hanson, taught them to sing 'Amen' in harmony at the dinner table. They have written more than 100 songs together and made hundreds of public appearances.

Their first public appearance was at a fair 6 years ago in Oklahoma, when Zac was only 6. They produced 2 independent CDs locally, 'Boomerang' (1995) and 'Mmmbop' (1996). Christopher Sabec was their first producer, starting in 1994, and eventually he got them signed by Mercury Records' Steve Greenberg in 1996. Their first single, 'Mmmbop' has been top of the charts in many countries including Australia (for 9 weeks!). Their album, Middle of Nowhere (released 23-6-97 in Australia), is also a huge hit.

Their father's work took them to South America and the Caribbean for a year, where they listened to many Time-Life tapes. This, they say, is where most of their musical influences came from. "Chuck Berry, Otis Redding, Little Richard, Elvis, Johnny Taylor, Aretha Franklin, The Supremes, the list goes on and on," Isaac explains. Wherever it came from, their music has been a major hit worldwide.
