I as many Pownall's, have a copy of a Pownall Genealogy Book
written by Donald O Wissinger, written in 1980. Although Mr Wissinger made a Gallant effort in writing this book, it contains many areas that are incomplete, as well as many areas of incorrect data, of which one is of my own Pownall Family Line. I'm sure this was possibly due to insufficent data available at the time of his research as well as other factors. Mr. Wissingers's. book has been a very beneficial and invaluable tool in the aid of researching, as it has pointed the direction in many cases, to the location of fact finding of many Pownall's. Without this tool, there would have been many empty roads followed and uncountable hours of additional intense research, that would of had to be done.
