"I hope it was a wise decision to blank the Scouts' memories again, Luna," said Artemis as he sunbathed on Serena's roof.
"Oh, but Artemis, remember how happy they were before this all started? When they were just 'normal'?" reminded Luna.
"But they were such good friends," sighed Artemis, "I wish there'd been some other way."
"But there wasn't, Artemis," said Luna, "All, or nothing. If they keep the pleasure, they keep the pain. And no matter what the pleasure is, I for one would much rather spare them the pain."
"I still think we should have asked them."
"They would never agree."
"But what about Serena and Darien, and Terra and David?" asked Artemis, "They might never know each other now!"
"Destinies have a way of happening, no matter what the circumstances," said
Luna, "Trust me Artemis, they'll meet again. And even if destiny needs a little help, we always have Celeus."
"I still don't know how you convinced him to sleep out on David's doorstep for a whole week until David finally investigated the 'lost kitty.' Terra must have been worried sick about him."
"Lets just say I have my methods, it served a purpose. Terra and David have at least met at this point."
"All we have to do now is get Serena and Darian back together . . ."
Suddenly a voice was heard on the street below.
"Oh no! I am so totally late for school!"
There was the sound of a minor catastrophe and another, male, voice responded,
"Watch where you're going, meatball head!"
Luna and Artemis both sweatdropped and exchanged glances . . .
"That may be harder than we thought."
