Bakersfield, CA-- Pump in my Pantry store clerk Billy O'Grady received a rude surprise his first day on the job. "I've been on the job for like three hours now, and my belief system is already thrown outta whack." In his first hour there, the 16 year-old store clerk took five dollars and three cents for a customer's regular unleaded gas and was stunned that the man didn't thank him. "I mean, dude, we're supposed to thank them and we do.Aren't they like supposed to reciprocate? I mean, the dude said, 'Have a nice day' but that ain't a thank you, ya know? I mean, what's next, are out of towners gonna stop by and ask for directions without buying nothing?" Billy's future strategy against ingratitude is to give them the middle finger as they're pulling away.
