Mix the soy sauce and green onions; pour over beef and marinate for 30 minutes or longer. In the meantime, prepare the vegetables for cooking; set these aside while you sautee the meat cubes lightly in sesame oil. Put the meat in a large pot with 2-3 quarts of water and bring to a hard boil. After cooking for 10 minutes, add the seasoning and lower heat to medium. Cook foe 5 more minutes, add the vegetables. Cook soup for 608 minutes (or until the vegetables are tender). Serve with hard-crushed French bread.
