Buffy and the real Willow must save the day fromt the bleak alternate universe in which vampires rule Sunnydale, Willow's blood-sucking doppleganger is brought forth into this world and wreaks havoc and confusion in Sunnydale. Mean while, Buffy goes into full training mode so she can ace out Faith on the Watcher's Council test, while Faith's unholy alliance is already paying handsome dividends

Q:Will you have a new love interest on your show?
DB:I'll definitely need some kind of a temptress urging me to cross back to the dark side.

Q:What about Spike and Dru? Are they for sure joining you?
DB:They'll be in my world somehow, because Dru is like my sister or something.

Q:What about Cordy (Charisma Carpenter)?
DB:Cordelia is definitely coming.

But Angel doesn't even really know her?
DB:I'll have to get to know her. She might just be my information leak.

Q: Wanda, what's going on with Willow and Xander? Their relationship (friendship and otherwise) seems to have come to a quick stop.
A:It's not Willow and Xander you should be concerned about. It's Xander and Faith, because they sleep together in an upcoming episode after Xander saves her. How 'bout that for a scoop?

Q: So are Xander and Faith going to be a couple or just really embarrassed?
No, but what it does is get Buffy interested. See, Faith asks Buffy if she's ever slept with Xander, which starts Buffy thinkin'...

The Wish:
-With the Master running things from Sunnydale, Buffy is drawn in, but she's not not the Slayer we know and love.
-Angel faces a fate worse than Hell in this altered Buffy universe. (Rumor has it that his soul-having self becomes the property of the Master's--and his minions).
-An unwanted run-in with a vampire keeps Cordelia from saving Sunnydale (and her own life) from her dangerous wish.

Amends:
-As Buffy and her friends make plans for a quiet Christmas vacation, Angel is haunted by visions of his violent, demonic past, including the ghost of Jenny Calendar (guest star Robia LaMorte). Meanwhile Willow goes to great, seductive lengths to try and convince Oz (Seth Green) that he is the one for her, and Xander painfully adjusts to his life without Cordelia. Joss Whedon wrote and directed the episode.
-Jenny's comes back in this episode (as a ghost, of course) to haunt Angel. Nov 4, 1998:
Band Candy
Buffy must take on Mr. Trick (guest star K. Todd Freeman) again when he causes all the adults in town to act like teen-agers; Buffy tries to keep Angel a secret.

Lovers Walk
Just as Buffy enjoys a minute to revel in her S.A.T. scores and ponder her bright future, the underworld version of Sid Vicious, Spike, returns to Sunnydale a fallen man, a pathetic shell of his former self who has been left in the dust by his love Drusilla and is back to punish every one who is to blame, especially Angel.

Just stoping by over a cup of tea to give away vital secrets about upcoming episodes... that doesn't even work anymore, does it? You know it's a lie, i'm gonna spew some weird abstraction like "buffy replaces her arms with spatulas", nobody learns anything, oh god I'm such a HACK! ---- Okay. When I start to feel insecure about my POSTINGS, I know it's time to take a break from writing. Alas, there is none in sight. So let me take this moment to bitch and moan about how hard this is -- or better yet, to sing the praises of a man named Greenwalt. We were up late friday breaking story together. The man is a font of good humor, great story ideas, and posative energy. Plus, mean as a snake, so he's dull to be around. Honestly,I get the kudos, and I work hard for 'em, but Greenie has helped every story we've put on screen. Especially that awesome SPATULA arc!

dru is spike's sire, someone can fill you in i'm sure. Speaking of, we're working with mr Marsters once again, coolie to have him back. Now Juliet is doing a movie, good for her, frantic rewriting for us, but I think the story improved dramatically with just Spike, and don't worry dru WILL be back, we just could work the sched for this ep (I am of course referring to ep 8, filming now). Hey, doesn't this count as vital info about upcoming shows? Isn't this cool or something?

Bish, i've been to your site, saw much goodness. Thought I saw a pic of Aly in a wedding dress but she assures me no such thing exists. I said, your'e lying! and she said GO TO HELL and I threw a toaster at her, didn't mean to hit her exactly but she took her hand from her head and there was blood on it, she started screaming, pulled the .357 from the box, firing as it came up I dove behind the stewardess, who took two in the belly -- I was fumbling for my beretta whn I heard the pilot take one in the back of the head -- I came up firing but the private jet lurched to one side and I hit the window -- Aly 's face was a mask of hate and betrayal as she was sucked towards the dime-sized hole -- we were nosing down -- and at this speed, we were gonna see Iraqi soil up close and personal in about thirteen seconds...

Haven't thought of n excuse yet, but I miss her. Not as much as Giles, but i do. And Darla. Why do they have to die? WHY!?!?!?

Kakistos was OLD, that causes the clovenness. Remember the Master? He looked like a bat -- a LOT like a bat (with fruitpunch mouth). the idea is that the older they get, the more animalistic -- but not necessarily the same animal. They devolve. That's my theory. Yes, we are working on the first ep of ANGEL. Just starting. i'm wicked excited -- but we still have many Buffy's to write. we're way behind, i'm not afraid to say. And even more importantly, we start work tomorrow on PIZZA GUY, the exciting story of a guy who delivers pizza to people all over the world and gets killed by them. ONLY on the WB.

To clear it up: Giles was not invited BEFORE becasue he was a rebel. He's not invited NOW cuz he's too busy. There are watchers all over the world because although there are potential slayers all over the world, it is never known until the last one dies which one will be called. Sometimes a watcher can find a potential and train her, sometimes they cannot interfere in her life -- sometimes they don't find them (like Buffy) until after the other has died. And, yeah, that was David, not a double. He's a trooper, ain't he?

[This is a question from Sam Hain....it helps you understand the answer (and the whole Spike/sire controversy)] Joss: I'm a glutton for disappointment, but here I go again. I like to be consistent, hopefully this time you won't have left by the time I post this. We had a bit of a conversation yonks ago about vampire sire-age. You were quite adamant about Dru having created Spike and that you had misworded Spike's "You were my sire, man" from "School Hard." That sire also meant from the same bloodline. In that ep we also learned that Spike was "barely 200," nearing my point; in "Becoming" by calculation Dru can't be more than 138. So how do you plan on explaining? Also, we've been given many ages and all but the one from "Becoming" fits. Without being specific in "Halloween" Buff and Willow discover that Angel was 18 and still human, him being sired that year would coincide with his age of 241-242. In "Becoming" he ain't 18 and he meets Darla 20 or so years too early. Which would make him 245, excluding 20, what have you, years as a human. Any thoughts?

Sam Hain, let me clear up this whole timeline confusion once and for all. People seem to be tripping over themselves and the explanation is really not all that complicated. So, for the record. I suck at math. Now as for killing characters off, I do get sad, but mostly elated at the thought of the emotion it will elicit. I'm like Angel watching Buffy get the phone call about Jenny. Tripping out on the grief. I understand that me=evil, but i honestly think we're all like that. And yes, I do tend to cry when I write sad scenes -- mostly cuz I'm acting them out in my head. (I do not cry as pretty as Sarah. Actually, I do not do anything as pretty as Sarah except eat chard, which I do very pretty.)

Angel appears at the very end of the next ep of Faith, Hope and Trick. He's also naked for those Angel lovers. VERY EXCELLENT EP!

A:Not sure, but I do know there's a really cool episode coming up wherein all the parents turn into teenagers, and so Buffy and the gang have to become the adults in order to fix the problem. They also get some good info out of Principal Snyder in this ep.

Q:: Can you tell us anything about future Buffy happenings?
A:Why, sure. When Angel finally comes back, you'll be happy to know he and Buffy can't keep their hands off each other, even though they know they can't be together.

Q:Has Willow finally gotten over Xander?

A:You all don't waste any time, do you? Buffy will have a new man. His name is Scott, and they will share major "kissage." In fact, so will Willow and Oz, and all this smooching will take place at school. Talk about your PDAs.

Q:Where will Buffy see Angel again?
A:First, she'll see him in her dreams. Then he appears, and he's naked. He's just come out of his hellish stay, and he's in bad shape. Buffy won't tell anyone about her Angel sighting.

Q:Does Angel come back blind?
A:I haven't heard that. He comes back naked (though the censors aren't allowing a shot of his butt, I'm told) and so disturbed even he doesn't know if he's good or bad.

Q:Any more Buffy spoilers?
A:I've already given you so many, but here's another: Oz is a werewolf again in episode four.

Sept 8 1998:The first ep will be titled Anne, under the nick that Buffy goes under in LA. She becomes a waitress to make more money. Also, there will be a new slayer named Faith. She will take Kendras place and be a recurring guest star, as her Watcher dies and she turnes to Giles having no place else to go. Later on Xanderand Cordelia will go all the way into their relationship [i.e.sex?]. Cordelia will see Willow kiss Xander and will leave Sunnydale, following Angel into his new series Angel. The first ep Sept 29 will take place right where we left off. Spike and Drusilla have been signed on for 5 more eps, but won't appear till about mid season. Angel will be back, but not right away. We will find out about Principal Sneyder and what's goin on with him, like is he a demon, monster, bad guy out to stop Buffy and the Mayor will be involved as well.

Sept 2 1998: This is straight from The Man himself, Joss, retrieved from the Posting Board.

"You wish for to have the spoilers, eh? Maybe a few things I can say. First Of all, Oz is still wolfy, but we have seriously altered the wolfsuit. Weren't happy with it, But now it's more Sethlike, and he moves really well in it. Much scarier than the infamous Big Gay[Gray] Possum of last year. Got a few returns from last year -- anyone remember Chantarelle from Lie To Me? Plus the ubiquitous Danny Strong will be around. Oh, and Buffy dies. A few thoughts. First, there will be plenty of Willow fun this season. Aly is pretty much a comic genius and yes, the new hair rox. Now, why does Angel feel bad? Well, imagine you suddenly remembered killing hundreds of people. The memories would be insanely upsetting -- just being NEAR such an event, let alone DOING it -- for anyone with a soul. here as much as guilt. also, Angelus is a particularly brutal vamp, even to other vamps. He has to wonder if that's something inate in himself that is evil. So it's tough. As for Spike, well, he'll be back. i'm gonna make you wait for it, but he and Dru have just begun to unfold for us. 'Cause of... the fun!
