Talk by Dr. Rtn. Robert Yeo on
An interesting talk by our in-house doctor, Rtn. Dr. Robert Yeo on 21st April open many of our eyes on the topic of eye problems like cataract, glaucoma ,etc.  He started his talk by
posing a question, "If you had a choice of being born blind or born deaf, which would you prefer?"

One interesting fact on industrial accidents which affects the eyes is caustic soda which eats
up the eye on contact.  Soda can be found even in everyday household items like washing
and cleaning detergent.  Even eye contact with acid is not as bad as soda.  The first thing one must do is to wash off the chemical off the eyes and then seek medical treatment.

We are lucky to have 2 Rotarian doctors in our club and hope they will from time to time, keep us informed of medical news that can be useful in times of emergency.
For those members who have not been attending meetings, we hope you will come to parti-
pate in these interesting discussions and learn a thing or two.
