4TH OFJULY INFOFOR NYC
4TH of July in NYC, skyline view.
There is just as much to do by day as well as by night. This year for the 4th of July 2000, there will be an OpSail parade. It is a grand display of very large ships that sail up the Hudson river. It collaborates with the Intrepid-Sea-Air-Space-Museum and The Seaport Museum. The sailing parade will begin at 9:30am and will end at 3:30pm. After that, the ships will be open to the public. The public can go aboard these ships from July 5th until July 8th. This weekend will also mark Salute Week which is also known as Fleet Week. For more activities, go to NYCtourist.com for more sight seeing info or for other entertainment visit NY's most popular and best-selling magazine Time Out NY for more entertainment guides.
Although this is last year's information, it still remains the same. Same Location, Same Spot and Same time. Unfortunately, almost the same weather too. :-( I have also added some links that may prove more useful than this at the bottom of the page. I hope this helps. Enjoy & Have A Good 4th Of July!!! :-)
For Information on the macy's 4th of July Fireworks, This will be displayed on East River Drive. The best viewing points are at 23rd street, 38th Street & 41st Street. Another good spot is at any point in Brooklyn & Queens. Make sure there is a clear view of the sky. Another great place to view it is from a high-rise building. ex: Empire State Building. If you wish to go boating andd want to see the Fire works show, call the macy's marine hotline @ (212)494-3558. All bridges are not used for viewing this event. Rosevelt Island is also out of the question. This event is scheduled to start @ 9pm and the fireworks are coordinated with music. Hope you will enjoy the show!!!!!!! The night is not over yet!!! There is Also more FireWorks display at the Brooklyn Bridge down in South Street Seaport. More info down below on Macy's FireWorks Special. Enjoy!!! :-)
